"Truly I say to you, as you did it to one of the least of these my brothers, you did it to Me." - Matt 25:40

"Then I will give you shepherds after My own heart, who will feed you on knowledge and understanding." Jer 3:15 NAS

Collis Huntington III is the founder and Executive Director of Along Side Ministries. Collis has pioneered the mentoring and aftercare program over the past years. Prior to founding ASM, he was the Arizona Director of Prison Fellowship for 11 years. During that time, Collis recognized that strong mentor relationships and safe housing were essential elements of a successful transition back into society. The Arizona Department of Corrections has called ASM the model for mentoring programs for the State, if not for the Nation.

Lee Alton runs the Special Projects section  of Along Side Ministries. He is a retired Air Force pilot and spent over 26 years in a variety of executive level positions. After leaving the Air Force, Lee felt a call to do more for God's kingdom. He served in various ministries and eventually became a mentor for ASM. Recognizing that God was working in ASM, Lee followed Henry Blackaby's advice in Experiencing God to "to see where the Lord is working and join Him."

Sherry Huntington is the Assistant Ministry Director of Along Side Ministries. Sherry is the main contact for those in prison and comforts folks seeking help for their incarcerated loved ones. She corresponds with inmates seeking mentors and keeps volunteers, supporters and Chaplains current with the ministry. She also maintains the ASM data base and critical records.

Debbie Gribauskas is the Women's Ministry Director.  She is also a Celebrate Recovery Instructor.  God called her to Arizona from Chicago and eventually led her to Along Side Ministries.  She is presently developing the women's ministry and oversees the programs for women at the Perryville prison and our new women' Hayward Houses facility.

Theresa Thomas joined the ASM Team January 2, 2007 as the Office Manager.  We asked what brought her to Along Side.  "Almost from the beginning of my new life in Christ (5 years ago) I have longed to be a part of the ministry work force.  I believe God set a plan in action at that time.  I have worked in Government for 15 years and about 2 years ago began working in the private sector.  God continued to place in my heart the desire to become involved in a ministry outside of my church.  I was introduced to Along Side Ministries through my friend Debbie, who was placed into my life about 4 years ago.  Little did I know at that time that God had a plan for both of us to work in a ministry together.

Ignacio (Nacho) Medrano  is the Assistant Director of the Discipleship Training Center apartments.  He is an ex-offender who came to know Christ in the prison.  God has delivered him from his past and restored his relationships with his family and community.  Nacho now uses his considerable talents to manage the men's apartments and assists the residents in obtaining their driver's licenses, food stamps, health benefits and a myriad of other necessities.

KaTie Jackson has been involved in ministry inside the jails and prisons for many years. During that time, God placed a dream in her heart to minister to women as they are released, in a residential program where God's love could be present every day and discipleship training would become a part of the former inmate's daily life.  In 2006 KaTie connected with Along Side Ministries and became a mentor.  However, God had a full time ministry in mind and called her to be the House Manager for Along Side Ministries' Women's Discipleship Training Center, known as the Hayward House.  KaTie is excited to see what God is doing in the transformation of lives and bringing women into their God given purpose.

Ken Pettis is the Director of Prison Transition Services and the interm Director of the DTC.  He is a former pastor who made some poor choices and found himself in the deadly grip of methamphetamines which eventually led him to prison.  It was during this incarceration that God ignited a passion within Ken for the incarcerated—especially those recently released.  Ken’s mission is to make the transition from incarceration to freedom as smooth as possible for every newly released individual.
