To All our Friends and Supporters. As we reflect back over the past ten years, it is humbling to see the amazing hand of God in the work of Along Side Ministries. Many milestones have been achieved in our efforts to impact prisoners with the gospel; and to disciple them in living for Jesus Christ, as they transition to productive, crime-free lives in society. We believe that our first ten years is but a corner stone for the future work God has planned for this ministry. As the new Chief Operating Officer, I am excited about the challenges and opportunities that are in front of us. With twenty-five years of prison ministry experience, I am often asked about my vision for Along Side Ministries. I believe the Lord is intending to expand the capacity of our Phoenix Discipleship Training Centers to accommodate 50 men and 50 women. This would more than double our current size. I also believe He intends to expand our borders, to include Discipleship Training Centers in other Arizona cities. I envision hundreds of Christian graduates, from our post release programs, as future leaders in our Churches and communities, throughout Arizona. God is raising up faithful Partners for His work at Along Side Ministries. Some Partners are Bible teachers; some are Mentors; some visit and write to prisoners in jails and prisons; some give financially; and some do all of the above. Along Side Ministries’ staff and partners are inextricably yoked together in the Kingdom work of reconciling ex-offenders to God, family, the Church and community. I am asking for your help, as there is much to do! We believe God is going to supply the workers, and the financial resources, to meet the challenges of building upon the corner stone of the last ten years. Do not be surprised if He calls on you to pursue your own role in the mission and vision of Along Side Ministries. Strap on your seat belt, it is going to be a thrilling journey, as the Lord uses His people to transform lives and proclaim Biblical truth in every area of society.
